NONA

conductor: Luboš Hána

The chamber choir “NONA” PF UJEP was founded at the end of 2002 at the Department of Music Education of the Pedagogical Faculty of Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem. Since 2007, NONA has been a male choir for about four years. Since 2011, however, NONA is again a mixed choir. In the choir's repertoire, the compositions of non-artificial music (as the name of the choir itself suggests) are often represented - often in their own arrangements, but the choir does not avoid the interpretation of the classical choral repertoire. The choir has participated in many competitions and festivals, both domestic and foreign (IFAS Pardubice, Zvjozdnyje vrata - Russia, Academic Banska Bystrica and many others). The choirmaster has been Luboš Hána since the beginning. However, students and graduates of choral conducting, which currently include Pavel Zmátlo, Dagmar Hladíková, Veronika Machovcová, Helena Poperová and Matouš Pavlis, are also in charge of conducting the choir and rehearsing the compositions.

PhDr. Lubos Hána, Ph.D. has been working at the Department of Music at PF UJEP in Usti nad Labem since 2002. His majors are practical disciplines related to teaching of future teachers and conductors. His choral arrangements has been used by repertoires of many Czech choirs and as a lecturer he has been invited to choral workshops and juries in choral competitions. In addition to NONA PF UJEP, he also leads the Mixed choir Ventilky at Music school in Jirkov. He is art director of choir festival Jirkovský Písňovar.
