Women's choir, Očová

Belius is a female choir based in the picturesque village of Očová. It consists of more than 30 passionate female singers. The choir works purposefully on vocal culture, artistic expression and musical creativity through workshops within vocal groups or individual development of individuals. The choir interprets compositions of various genres – sacred works, secular works, choral arrangements of folk songs and gospels. However, the most significant contribution of the choir is in presenting new compositions by contemporary Slovak authors and popularizing choral singing with the help of dynamic audio-visualization of compositions. The choir often participates in local and international festivals and performances. Belius works intensively on strengthening long-standing and building new relationships with organizers of social events. With its enthusiastic work on the artistic field, it offers interesting musical and visual experiences not only to its members but especially to visitors of cultural events.
