Monika Bažíková

Doc. Mgr. art. et Mgr. Monika Bažíková, ArtD. is a graduate of the Conservatory in Žilina and the study program Music Education - Piano Playing at the University of Žilina in Žilina. She is also a graduate of conducting at the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica, a doctoral student at the Academy of Music im. Krzysztof Penderecki in Krakow, and defended her associate professor title at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno. She currently teaches at the Department of Art and Culture at the Faculty of Education of Comenius University in Bratislava, but also works as a teacher at the Ján Albrecht Academy of Music and Art in Banská Štiavnica and at the Brioso Private Elementary School of Art in Žilina.

Monika Bažíková is the conductor of the OMNIA choir, with which she has achieved significant awards at home and abroad since its foundation (2003). She is also a member and artistic director of the sibling vocal group "B7", conductor of the children's choir BRIOSO at the SZUŠ Brioso in Žilina and conductor of the university choir COMENIUS at Comenius University in Bratislava. In addition to her pedagogical and conducting activities, she also composes, lectures on choir workshops, is a member of juries at singing and choir competitions, and is actively involved in international music projects.
